Blanche Stubblefield
SIKESTON, Mo. -- Blanche Stubblefield, 100, of Sikeston died Friday, March 13, 2009, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 17, 1908, in McMullin, Mo., daughter of William Thomas and Amanda Birdie Lennox Stubblefield.
Stubblefield was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston. She retired from the Bank of Sikeston after 33 years of service.
Survivors include a nephew, William Thomas Kindred of Salem, N.C.; two nieces, Bettie Williams of Jackson, Virginia Gayle Lewis of Cape Girardeau; a sister-in-law, Malita Stubblefield of Cape Girardeau; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to time of service Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremiah Reeve, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Private interment will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
