Blanche G. Burton, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Jan. 18, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Jan. 16, 1903, at Carrsville, Ky., to John and Annie Maude Garrett Russ.
In 1921 in Mississippi she married George Patrick Teasley, who died in 1928. She married Charles Jefferson Burton in 1937 at Caruthersville. He died in 1969.
She worked at St. Francis Hospital as a dietitian for 10 years, retiring in 1968.
Survivors are one son, Joseph Burton of Dyersburg, Tenn.; one-stepson, Charles Burton of Pine Bluff, Ark.; three daughters, Anna Crole of Jackson, Dottie Owens of Shreveport, La., and Eleanor "Ellen" Shuck of Cape Girardeau; one stepdaughter, Christine Hill of Naples, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Visitation is today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
Service is Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
