ORAN, Mo. -- Blanch I. Wheeler, 94, of Oran died Friday, June 17, 2011, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born May 7, 1917, in East Prairie, Mo., to William and Beulah Flippo Linam. She married Everett E. Wheeler on Nov. 6, 1941. He preceded her in death June 24, 1996.
She was a member at Trinity United Methodist Church in Oran, where she taught Sunday school many years. She volunteered a lot of time and served in many offices for the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include two sons, Mike (Linda) Wheeler of Oran, Derek (Janie) Wheeler of Sikeston; two daughters, Teresa (Larry) Wright and Kathy (Joe) Jackson both of Sikeston; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Kay Wheeler; two brothers; and two sisters.
Friends may call after 8 a.m. today and from noon to service time at Trinity United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the church, with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley, Mo.
