JACKSON -- Blanche Myers West, 88, died April 18, 1995, at the Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
She was born Dec. 7, 1906, in Black, the daughter of George and Florence Dennison Myers. She was married May 19, 1956, to Samuel West, who preceded her in death June 1, 1981.
She was a member of the Third Baptist Church in St. Louis and the Jackson Chapter of the Eastern Star 91. She lived in St. Louis, moving to Jackson 20 years ago.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Johnson of Memphis; a sister, Marie Bay of Festus; a brother, Arnold Webb of Jackson; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, a stepsister, four brothers and a stepbrother.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
