CAIRO, Ill. -- Blaine W. Bryant, 83, of Cairo died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born April 17, 1916, in Cairo, son of Jesse and Nell Wise Bryant.
Bryant retired as a salesman with Merit Clothing Co. in Mayfield, Ky. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Cairo Elks Lodge 651.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; two daughters, Nancy Hillhouse of Charleston, Mo., Bunny Shumaker of Marietta, Ga.; a son, Stephen Bryant of Bloomington, Ind.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Richard Keplinger officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
