B.J. Bradley Jr., 5 years old, of Scott City died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born, Dec. 6, 1997, at Cape Girardeau, the son of Billy Joe and Nikki Scott Bradley.
B.J. played for the Scott City Cubs T-ball team.
He is survived by his mother and father of Scott City; one brother, Matthew Bradley of Scott City; paternal grandparents Gordon and Pat Bradley of Scott City; maternal grandmother Maxine Scott of Chaffee; paternal great-grandmother Florence Adams of St. Louis; and maternal great-grandmother Betty Halter of Chaffee.
His maternal grandparents Walter and Myra Scott preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 3 p.m., Friday. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, at the chapel. Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
B.J. has been a patient at St. Jude's since May 7, 2000. He was an amazing little boy with a will to live like no other. He brought happiness to anyone and everyone that had the privilege to meet him. He has changed our lives forever and we will always be grateful for every moment we had with him. He taught us all what it means to really "live."
