Birdie L. Kincaid, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Oct. 10, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1923, at Wardell, daughter of William J. and Amelia M. Hickerson McPherson. Kincaid retired from Florsheim Shoe Co. in 1985. Survivors include two sons, Tim Kincaid of Cape Girardeau, Ronald Wright of Wauchula, Fla.; four daughters, Darlene Kincaid of Cape Girardeau, Deanie Anderson of Wauchula, Patricia Moore of Phoenix, Ariz., Carolyn McCaig of Caruthersville; her mother, Amelia Hughley of Wardell; a sister, Jewell Cain of Memphis, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.. ...

She was born Oct. 9, 1923, at Wardell, daughter of William J. and Amelia M. Hickerson McPherson.

Kincaid retired from Florsheim Shoe Co. in 1985.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Kincaid of Cape Girardeau, Ronald Wright of Wauchula, Fla.; four daughters, Darlene Kincaid of Cape Girardeau, Deanie Anderson of Wauchula, Patricia Moore of Phoenix, Ariz., Carolyn McCaig of Caruthersville; her mother, Amelia Hughley of Wardell; a sister, Jewell Cain of Memphis, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and a son.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Joyce officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until service time.
