PERKINS, Mo. -- Funeral for Billy G. Spane of Perkins will be held at 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo. The Rev. Rick Crump will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City, Mo.
Spane, 64, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 25, 1936, at Bell City, son of Eugene and Lelia Kneezle Spane. He and Rosetta Dunn were married July 2, 1960.
Spane retired as a machine operator at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee. He was a member of Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810, and charter member of Perkins Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Diana Dees of Chaffee; a brother, Paul Spane of Chaffee; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
