SIKESTON -- Billy Eugene Shell, 68, of Sikeston died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born Feb. 27, 1929, in Sikeston, son of Leman Alvie and Marie Alma Collins Shell.
Shell was an agent many years with Prudential Insurance Co., and recently worked at the Standard-Democrat Newspaper. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Shell served 12 years in the Missouri National Guard.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Sweet of Bartlett, Tenn., Andrea Shell of Memphis; a brother, Lee Shell of Sikeston; Matt and Scott McClellan of Memphis, who were raised in the Shell home; and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Tom Geers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
