BENTON, Mo. -- Billy Jim Ritter, 62, of Benton died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at his home.
He was born July 1, 1949, in Porterville, Calif., to the late James David and Edith Lucille Gabbard Ritter. He and Marilyn Reeves were married Jan. 7, 1969, and she survives.
Billy was a retired truck driver with Delta Express in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn of Benton; two daughters, DeAnn Kirk of Chaffee, Mo., Kelley Ritter of Des Moines, Iowa; a brother, Michael Ritter of Sikeston, Mo.; a sister, Jackie Ritter of Porterville, Calif.; five grandchildren, Ashley Ritter and Amber Kirk of Chaffee, Kristin and Aaron Ritter and Devon Haupt of Des Moines; as well as two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Rylee Job of Chaffee.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matt Butrum officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories in Sikeston.
