EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Funeral for Billy Joe Patrick of East Prairie will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. Mark Odle will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Mo.

Patrick, 48, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 24, 1952, in Charleston, son of Everett Lee and Hattie Vivian Stone Patrick.

Patrick was a former construction worker.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny Patrick of Bertrand, Mo., Jeffrey Patrick of East Prairie; a daughter, Christy Wilson of Pacific, Mo.; four brothers, Ronnie Patrick of Huntsville, Ala., Roy Patrick of Anniston, Mo., Rick Patrick of Columbia, Mo., Mike Patrick of Benton, Mo.; three sisters, Janet Kirby of East Prairie, LaVerne Freed of Scott City, Mo., Evelyn Corwin of Maumee, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
