SIKESTON, Mo. -- Billy W. Kirtley, 59, of Savannah, Tenn., formerly of Canalou, Mo., and Sikeston, died Friday, July 9, 2004, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born July 17, 1944, at Canalou, son of Carl and Fern Brewington Kirtley Johnson.
Kirtley was a forklift operator for Aqua Glass Corp. in Savannah and was a sergeant in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a son, Carl Kirtley of Escondido, Calif.; a daughter, Angela McLevain of Henderson, Ky.; two brothers, Delbert Kirtley of Sikeston and Randy Johnson of Canalou; a sister, Shirley Malloy of Essex, Mo.; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Matthews Cemetery in Matthews, Mo., with the Rev. James Malloy officiating.
