SIKESTON -- Billy Fred Johnson, 77, of Sikeston died Thursday, Feb. 6, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born July 10, 1919, at Morley, son of Willie August and Ester Madge Crafton Johnson. He and Neoma Sledge were married Dec. 5, 1944, in Arkansas.
Johnson was a journeyman at General Motors Corp. in Flint, Mich. He was a member of Miner Baptist Church. Johnson served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sharon Farrow of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Wilma Deane of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.
