Billy Joe Todd
CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Billy Joe Todd, 77, of Chaffee died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
He was born Oct. 2, 1931, at Oran, Mo., son of Elree and Elizabeth Kaylor Todd. He and Velma Jean Hurt were married in 1974. She died in 1990.
Todd was employed as a lineman for Union Pacific Railroad. He retired from Boatman's Bank in St. Louis, where he was a security guard. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include two sons, Stuart Todd and William Todd, both of Dupo, Ill.; a sister, Mozell Moore of St. Charles, Mo.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. The Missouri Military Honors Guard will provide military rites.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
