COMMERCE -- Billy Gene Gunter, 59, of Melbourne, Fla., died Friday, July 26, 1991, at his home.

He was born Aug. 14, 1931, at Commerce, son of Elmo "Bill" and Ethel Praul Gunter.

Gunter served in the U.S. Air Force 27 years, and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Survivors include a son, William Gunter of Forestville, N.Y.; two half sisters, Brenda Louise Stroder of Whitewater, Sharon Anielak of Benton; three half brothers, Roy Gunter of Benton, James Gunter of Chaffee, and Danny Gunter of Cottage Grove, Ore.

He was preceded in death by a half brother, Stanley Gunter of Morley.

Burial was July 31 in Florida National Cemetery near Bushnell, with full military rites.
