Billy Farris

Billy Joe Farris, 79, of Randles passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 2, 1937, in Steele, Missouri, to the late Joe Wheeler and Buna Daisy Boley Farris. He married Catherine J. Bickings on July 25, 1959, and she preceded him in death Nov. 5, 2011.

Billy was a retired truck driver for Truck Transport in Scott City. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Teamsters Union and International Bureau of Electrical workers.

Survivors include two sons, Fred (Jeannie) Farris of Randles and Bill G. Farris of Chaffee, Missouri; a sister, Dorothy (Freeman) Dever of Paragould, Arkansas; and a grandson, Sam McClard of Clarksville, Tennessee.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Farris, and a sister, Sandra Farrow.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gary Burns officiating. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Missouri.
