Billy Dean Eifert, 78, of Scott City died Monday, March 9, 2015, at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
He was born Sept. 21, 1936, in Cape Girardeau to William Henry and Ruth Hughes Eifert. He and Martha Ann Slinkard were married Dec. 9, 1988, in Gramercy, Louisiana.
Billy was a supervisor with Delta Asphalt and worked for ASA Asphalt.
He was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Scott City and Men's Breakfast Club and loved crappie fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Martha, of Scott City; a daughter, Tammy Eifert of Louisville, Kentucky; a stepson, Kevin Runnels of Chandler, Arizona; a stepdaughter, Laurie (Jim) Glastetter of Benton, Missouri; a sister, Kathy Payne of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Trenton, Taylor, Jamie and Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Billings, in 1988.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Michael Woods officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
