Billy Eugene Mize, 65, 817 S. Pacific, died Monday, Oct. 17, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Oct. 5, 1929, at Sikeston, son of Ernest and Lena Murphy Mize. He and Ethel J. Criddle were married in 1951 in Cape Girardeau. Mize worked at Craftsman Printing many years, and retired after teaching graphic arts 13 years at Cape Girardeau Vocational Technical School. Billy Eugene Mize, 65, 817 S. Pacific, died Monday, Oct. 17, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 5, 1929, at Sikeston, son of Ernest and Lena Murphy Mize. He and Ethel J. Criddle were married in 1951 in Cape Girardeau.

Mize worked at Craftsman Printing many years, and retired after teaching graphic arts 13 years at Cape Girardeau Vocational Technical School. He was currently a bail bondsman.

He was a member of Maple United Methodist Church, St. Mark's Masonic Lodge, Wilson Chapter 75, Order of Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, Shrine Club, High 12, Cape Council, and Cape Girardeau Commandry Knights Templar. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael Mize of Portsmouth, Va., Dennis Mize of Jackson, J. Kevin Mize of Cape Girardeau; his mother of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Charlie and Tommie Mize of Athens, Ga.; two sisters, Joan Vaughn of Houston, Texas, Lois Rose of Athens, and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Dace officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.

PATTON -- Funeral service for Roxie Elizabeth Stilts of Shawneetown, Ill., will be held at 2 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. The Revs. Clinton Massa and Lloyd Green will officiate, with burial in New Trace Creek Cemetery at Glen Allen.

Stilts, 80, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 1994, at the home of a daughter in Shawneetown.,
