Billy Dean Bollinger, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at Life Care Center.
He was born June 16, 1930, in Sedgewickville, Missouri, to Renzo Joy and Tora Rubena Friese Bollinger. He and Martha Lou Hahs were married Nov. 6, 1948, at Piggott, Arkansas.
He was a member of Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge 441 AF& AM, earning his 50-year pin.
Billy worked as superintendent for the Water Waste Facilities in both Jackson and Cape Girardeau for several years before retirement. He previously worked for Mildes Coca-Cola in Jackson and the Missouri State Highway Department.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Lou Hahs Bollinger of Cape Girardeau; a son, Terry (Cheryl) Bollinger of Fruitland; two daughters, Judy (Ron) Biester of Cape Girardeau and Robin McKelvey of Fredericktown, Missouri; two grandchildren, Matthew (Katy) Bollinger of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Brandon McKelvey of Washington; four great-grandchildren, Shelby Bollinger and Rylee Bollinger of Marble Hill, Emma Willis of Leadwood, Missouri, and Bowen Lee of Fredericktown; a sister-in-law, Ola Bollinger of Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bobby J. Bollinger; and a son-in-law, Steve McKelvey.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the care Billy received at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Funeral Home-Jackson.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
