Billy West Aycock, son of the late Robert and Pauline West Aycock, was born May 19, 1944, in Sikeston, Missouri, and departed this life Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 72.
Aycock was a veteran of the U.S. National Guard.
He was a farmer and a partner in the Sandy Ridge Cotton Company, a resident of Cape Girardeau and also a former resident of Dexter, Missouri.
On Feb. 18, 1966, he was united in marriage to June Lape in Morley, Missouri. She survives of the home.
Besides his wife, Aycock is survived by two sons, West Aycock of St. Louis and Neil Aycock and his wife, Lindsay, of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Landen and Eli Aycock; and a niece, Joy Aycock of Memphis, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Aycock, and a sister, Mary Jane Aycock.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
