MARBLE HILL -- Billie James Reel, 68, of Sedgewickville, died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born at Humphrey, Ark., May 16, 1931, son of James and Ruby Harrison Reel.
He and Verla Eskew were married on May 23, 1950. She died July 15, 1989.
He was a retired painter for Ford Motor Co. in St. Louis.
Survivors include two sons, Billie Dean Reel of Riverside, Calif., and Larry James Reel of Pueblo, Colo.; two daughters, Cheryl Ann Sims of Sedgewickville and Brenda Seymour of Burfordville; two brothers, Robert Reel of Idaho and Lester Reel of Oregon; a sister, Jimmie Dicus of Oxnard, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Verla Crites of Scopus.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Liley Funeral Home Chapel at Marble Hill, with the Rev. Jim Eskew officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
