BILLIE REED

COBDEN, Ill. -- Funeral for Billie Marie Reed of Cobden will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden. The Rev. Virgil Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from noon until service time.

Reed, 82, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at Carbondale Health and Rehab Center in Carbondale, Ill.

She was born April 20, 1918, in Big Sandy, Tenn., daughter of William H. and Linnie Mae Alsup Hawley. She and Richard Ova Reed were married Nov. 29, 1933, in Herrin, Ill. He died Aug. 17, 2000.

Reed was a member of Limestone Baptist Church near Cobden.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Reed of Twentynine Palms, Calif., Robert Reed of Cobden; two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother, and a granddaughter.
