Billie Sue Hayden, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born April 8, 1949, in Cairo, Illinois, to Lawrence Henry and Orpha Lesar Bigham. She and William B. Hayden were married Aug. 9, 1971, at Benton, Missouri. He preceded her in death July 20, 2012.

She loved to quilt. Billie was a people person and loved to collect knickknacks and angels.

She was a good wife, mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three sons, William B. Hayden Jr., Pierre J. Hayden and James Emory David Hayden, all of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Michelle Renee Hayden of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Beulah Morgan of Olive Branch, Illinois, Phyllis Stephenson of Wickliffe, Kentucky, Barbara Jean Hurt of Ironton, Missouri, and Helen Bigham of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Clawrence Bigham of Olive Branch and Bobby Bigham of Cairo; eight grandchildren, Melanie, Brian, Angela, Shannon, Pierre Jr., Michael, John Jr. and Brianna; and four great-grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Clara Wilson and Orpha Farris; four brothers, Johnny, Lawrence, James "Jim" and Wayne Bigham; and a grandchild.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to American Cancer Society.
