PATTON, Mo. -- Billie Gene Brotherton, 82, of Patton passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Community Manor in Farmington, Missouri.
He was born May 8, 1932, in Bollinger County, Missouri, son of Willie and Alma Seabaugh Brotherton. He and Peggy Sitze were married Aug. 21, 1971.
Billie retired from McDonnell Douglas as a shop steward. He was a member of the Lions Club and New Life Baptist Church in Florissant, Missouri. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy; three sons, James Brotherton of Patton, Bill Brotherton of Sedgewickville, Missouri, Brad Sitzes of St. Charles, Missouri; three daughters, Carla Wagner of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Kathy Dunker of Perryville, Missouri; Cindy Hahs of Camdenton, Missouri; three sisters, Verna Sitze of St. Peters, Missouri, Verla Naeve of Chaffee, Missouri, Judy Cummings of Temple, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Donald Ray, Paul Dean and Jackie Lee Brotherton.
Visitation will be today after 4 p.m. at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Poole officiating. Burial will be in Reagan's Chapel Cemetery with full military honors.
