JONESBORO, Ill. -- William "Bill" Snell, 75, of Jonesboro died Friday, July 15, 2005 at his daughter's home in Jonesboro.
He was born Dec. 6, 1929, in Wetaug, Ill., son of James and Grace Keller Snell.
He was a retired first mate on the river, worked in construction for many years and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include two daughters, Wilda Ray of Calvert City, Ky., Linda Williams of Jonesboro; two brothers, Kenneth Snell of Anna, Ill., Billy Jean Snell of Potosi, Mo.; a sister, Violet Lence of Anna; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
Friends may call after 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Scott Kelley and Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Dongola, Ill.
