ULLIN, Ill. -- Bill Parmley, 88, of Ullin, formerly of Dongola, Ill., died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.
He was born March 19, 1913, in Mounds, Ill., son of Devere and Nellie Tanner Parmley. He and Ara Frizzel were married Feb. 27, 1935.
Parmley was a member of First Baptist Church in Dongola. He was a machine operator in a box factory.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Wilma Carter of Midland, Mich., Wanda Peterson and Carol Nethery of Charlestown, Ind.; a brother, John Parmley of Arkansas; three sisters, Lillian Farris of the state of California, Helen Creacy of Anna, Ill., Freda Christian of Olmsted, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery.
