William Fred "Bill" Ledure, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, at Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born Sept. 10, 1917, at Commerce, son of Nicholas and Nellie Arnold Ledure. He and Norma LeTempt were married March 4, 1947. She died Nov. 23, 1994.
Ledure was a service technician with Associated Natural Gas Pipeline of America. He was a life member of Morley VFW Post 5638, and member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Leola Essner of Kelso; a brother, Leo Ledure of Commerce; a sister, Lilly Welter of Benton; three granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. Sunday. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
