SIKESTON -- Bill J. George, 61, of Sikeston, died Sunday, May 8, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born May 22, 1932, in Charleston, son of William Louis and Orlena Franklin George. He and Mildred Bennett Corbin were married Nov. 21, 1969.
George was a tankman with Alamo Barge Line, retiring in 1992. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Monica Sanders of Doniphan, Sue Dickson of Festus; two brothers, Russell George of Bertrand, Mickey George of Charleston; three stepsons, Jerry Corbin of Sikeston, Ralph Corbin of Poplar Bluff, Robert Corbin of the home; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; four stepgrandchildren, and five great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home after 4:30 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Billie Butler officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
