HIRAM, Mo. -- William W. "Bill" Graham, 73, of Hiram died suddenly Monday, May 27, 2002, at his home.
He was born Nov. 25, 1928, in Granite City, Ill. He and Helen Kovach were married Nov. 6, 1953, in Reno, Nev.
Graham worked in the timber industry, operating sawmills and pallet mills at Glen Allen, Mo. He retired and moved to Hiram in 1997. He was a lifetime member of the Elks, and of the Baptist belief.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-55, and was a staff sergeant at the time of discharge.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Nancy Graham of Texarkana, Texas, Mary Sauer-Huston of Jackson, Mo.; a sister, Dorothy Thouvenell of Hillsboro, Kan.; and three grandsons.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Greenville Cemetery in Greenville, Mo. The Rev. Elijah Bennett will officiate.
Morrison-Worley Greenville Chapel in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Diabetes Foundation or to the American Cancer Society.
