Beverly Walker

COBDEN, IlL. -- Beverly R. Walker, 65, of Cobden died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, from injuries received in a car-train accident in Chester, Ill.

She was born May 18, 1940, daughter of Willie and Grace Dunn Miles.

She and Willard "Bill" Walker were married Nov. 12, 1961, in Cobden.

Walker was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cobden. She worked for the Union County Oil Co. for more than 40 years.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Paula Walker of Cobden, Ruth Sawyer of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; a son, Carroll Walker of Cobden; a brother, Billy Miles of St. Louis; two sisters, Lela Peterman and Mary McGowen, both of Anna, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Clifford Heil officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
