Beverly Rhea

Beverly Edith Rhea, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, April 4, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 18, 1938, in St. Louis to George W. and Bernice Hampton Weston. She and James Rhea were married in St. Louis.

Beverly lived all her life in St. Louis until recently, when she moved to Cape Girardeau. She was a machine operator for 19 years at an ink pen factory in Fenton, Mo. She was baptized in St. Louis into the Methodist Church.

Survivors include eight nieces and nephews, Richard Lee (Patty) Minner, Terry Lee (Bob) King, Gary Lee (Mary) Crigger, Harlan Rance "Ike" (Kim) Minner, Martha Ray Robertson, Robin Michael (Robin) Minner, Patrick Eugene (Tina) Minner Sr. and Jacqulynn Gail Woods; and 147 great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Bernice Weston; husband, James Rhea; three brothers, George "Joe", Thomas and Michael Weston; three sisters, Marie Lee Minner, Rebecca Buss, Francis Mack; a nephew, William Thomas "Junior" Minner; two nieces, Toni Jo Minner Stanton and Mary Lee Minner Crigger.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
