Beverly J. King, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Sept. 30, 2019, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born March 18, 1926, in Spokane, Washington, to Joy Joseph and Frances Stewart Feigenspan. She and John W. King were married Aug. 11, 1951, at Jefferson City. He preceded her in death June 6, 2018.
Beverly was a graduate of Hannibal (Missouri) High School and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia.
She served as assistant librarian at Cape Girardeau Central High School, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Abbey Road Christian Church.
After retirement, John and Beverly enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada.
Survivors include her son, Dr. William B. (Julie) King of Jackson; daughter, Nancy S. (Bob) Raleigh of Wildwood, Missouri; sister, Dorothy Walters of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Katherine King, Ira King, Emily Norton and Robert Raleigh; and great-grandchildren, Robert Dennis Norton, Raymond Jiang Raleigh and Leo John Raleigh.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Doug Job officiating. Interment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be given to Abbey Road Christian Church.
