Beverly Mae “Pevey” Austin, 72, of Jackson died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at her home.
She was born July 13, 1947, in Whitewater to Clyde E. and Maude E. Brown Austin.
She retired from Saint Francis Medical Center after 17 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson, where she was involved with Sunday school class.
Survivors include her two sons, Mark Payne of Jackson and Michael L. (Michelle) Payne of Orange, Massachusetts; three brothers, Keith O. Austin of Gresham, Oregon, Kenny (Martha) Austin of Jackson and Lanny D. Austin of Chaffee, Missouri; two sisters, Sandra B. (Greg) Dunning of Delta and Leslie Austin of Jackson; five grandchildren, Morgan, Bethany, Kelsey, Elayne and Penny; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Melanie Jordan; one sister, Brenda K. Dysinger; one brother, Sam D. Austin; and one grandchild, Austin.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Jackson Funeral Home in Jackson.
Service will follow at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Troy Richards officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
Memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church of Jackson or American Cancer Society.
