CHAFFEE -- Beulah Agnes Simmons, 88, of Chaffee died Thursday, May 7, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 29, 1909, at Delta, daughter of Charley and Rosie Jane Welker Surface. She and Leo Daniel Simmons were married March 3, 1928. He died April 18, 1997.
Simmons was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include three daughters, Virgie Kraust of Cape Girardeau, Mabel Schaefer of Scott City, Doris Spencer of Fruitland; a sister, Lizzie Wondel of Painton; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers, and three sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
