CHARLESTON -- Beulah Hornback, 83, of Kalamazoo, Mich., died Thursday, July 25, 1991, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born March 7, 1908, at Diehlstadt, daughter of Thomas E. and Ruby Martindale Martin. She married the Rev. William S. Hornback Dec. 24, 1925. He died Feb. 8, 1973...

CHARLESTON -- Beulah Hornback, 83, of Kalamazoo, Mich., died Thursday, July 25, 1991, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

She was born March 7, 1908, at Diehlstadt, daughter of Thomas E. and Ruby Martindale Martin. She married the Rev. William S. Hornback Dec. 24, 1925. He died Feb. 8, 1973.

Hornback was formerly of Charleston, moving to Kalamazoo five years ago. She was a desk clerk many years at Charleston Cleaners, and was a member of Wyatt Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Hornback of Kalamazoo, David Hornback of Murray, Ky.; six daughters, Ruby Renfer of Kalamazoo, Doris Frazier of Augusta, Ga., Billie Hart of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Patsy Leker of Waukegan, Ill., Judy Rettig of Sikeston, Nancy Estes of Batesville, Ark.; a sister, Myrtle Swank of San Dimas, Calif.; 28 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, a brother and sister.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Rev. Tom Bridges will officiate, with burial in Maynard Cemetery near Diehlstadt.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
