JACKSON -- Beulah Glidwell, 86, Jackson Route 7, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Sept. 9, 1906, at Morehouse, daughter of William and Ada Cline Robinson. She and Lee Glidwell were married March 1, 1924. He died June 25, 1971...

JACKSON -- Beulah Glidwell, 86, Jackson Route 7, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 9, 1906, at Morehouse, daughter of William and Ada Cline Robinson. She and Lee Glidwell were married March 1, 1924. He died June 25, 1971.

Glidwell moved to Jackson in 1958 from St. Louis. She had worked at the former Owl Shanty Cafe at Fruitland. She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Mary Martha Sunday School Class, and Byrds Creek Homemakers Club.

Survivors include a son, Donald Glidwell of Potosi; two daughters, Pat Waggoner of St. Louis, Freda Stover, Jackson Route 7; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters and a great-grandson.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Rodney Travis will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.
