MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Betty Loraine Upchurch, 87, of Marble Hill passed away Monday, April 20, 2015, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home.
She was born March 16, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the Rev. Robert and Mary Hanners Cook. She and Medford Upchurch were married Dec. 29, 1946. He passed away Aug. 8, 2004.
Betty was a member of County Line Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include five sons, Edgar Upchurch of Jackson, Jim Upchurch of Greenville, Missouri, Robert and Sam Upchurch of Marble Hill and the Rev. Dan Upchurch of Kiev, Ukraine; two daughters, Janet Jones and Doris Murray of Marble Hill; a brother, Kenneth Cook of Marble Hill; 22 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Medford; five brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Tom Andersen, Dan Upchurch, Bobby Upchurch, Stephen Upchurch and Johnny Upchurch officiating. Burial will be in Lessley Chapel Cemetery near Marble Hill.
