Betty Joyce Treece, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 2, 2014, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
She was born May 10, 1934, in Rector, Arkansas, to Marvin and Lois Wiley Ratledge. She and George A. Treece were married Oct. 31, 1953, at Benton, Missouri. He preceded her in death Aug. 9, 2013.
Betty resided in Millersville 30 years and was a member of Millersville First Baptist Church. She loved to quilt and sew.
Survivors include two sons, Kenny Treece (Lucillia) of Houston and Michael Treece (Melani) of Litchfield, Illinois; four brothers, Gary Ratledge of Benton, Jerry Ratledge of Forsyth, Missouri, Dallas Ratledge of Davidson, Michigan, and George Ratledge of Clovis, New Mexico; two sisters, Linda Eccles of Lakeland, Florida, and Loretta Whitlock of Oak Ridge; six grandchildren, Sean, Logan and Dylan Treece, Mariah, Jourdan and Zachary Treece.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery at Benton.
