Betty Sue Simms, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Oct. 31,1999, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services.
She was born May 7, 1911, at Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., daughter of Walter and Osborn Sharp Wilson. She first married Darotha Macon in 1935. He died in 1952. She later married Louis Simms in 1955. He died in 1973.
Simms had been a housekeeper for the Joseph Quatmann, Pat Tlapek and Charles Vandivort families. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Walter Wilson of Cape Girardeau, Ernest Macon of Chicago; two daughters, Margaret Leatherberry of Philadelphia, Pa., Nancy Willis of South Bend, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Vivian Cain of Michigan City, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church. The Rev. Wiley Reed will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.
