ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Betty Lou Shelton of Anna will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Kenneth Mixen will officiate, with burial in McGinnis Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
Shelton, 61, died Tuesday, April 22, 1997, at her home.
She was born Sept. 6, 1935, in Anna, daughter of Ed and Ruby Youngblood Mixen.
Shelton was employed at the Kroger Store in Anna many years. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary to Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Shelton of Anna; four sons, Robert Shelton Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev., Warren, Billy Bob and Eric Shelton, all of Anna; three sisters, Jean Ferrell of Mundelein, Geraldine Delothel of Rock Falls, Carolyn Crowell of Anna; three brothers, Phillip Mixen of North Carolina, Kenneth Mixen of Buncombe, Darell Mixen of Dixon; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two brothers.
