CAIRO, Ill. -- Betty S. Griffith, 67, of Cairo died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 20, 1932, daughter of James and Ruby Goins Caldwell. She and Charles Griffith were married. He died in 1993.
She was a member of the Alexander County Senior Citizens, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She had worked as a clerk for Lehnings Pharmacy in Cairo before retiring.
Survivors include two brothers, Walter Caldwell of St. Jacob, Ill., and Charles Caldwell of Cairo.
She was preceded in death by an infant child.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Dr. Larry L. Potts officiating. Burial will be at the U.S. National Cemetery in Mound City.
