SIKESTON, Mo. -- Betty Jean Ramsey, 72, of Wappapello, Mo., died Friday, July 15, 2005, at her home.
She was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Sikeston, daughter of Roy Earl and Clara Belle Gaddis Owens. She and Gene Ramsey were married Oct. 9, 1948, in Piggott, Ark.
Ramsey was a licensed practical nurse 18 years at Shuffit Nursing Home, retiring in 1984. She moved to Wappapello in 1988.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Ken Ramsey of Wappapello; three daughters, Donna Molloy and Teresa Roberts of Sikeston, Debby Adams of Wappapello; a brother, Robert Owens of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Shirley Gardner of Anderson, Ind., Barbara Harper of Bertrand, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Revs. Robert Burns and Matthew Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
