DUTCHTOWN, Mo. -- Betty L. Obermann, 75, of Dutchtown died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 18, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Delvie and Hazel May Stephens Oxford. She and H.W. "Bud" Obermann were married Jan. 18, 1948, at Gordonville, Mo.
Obermann had worked at Brokerage Store in Cape Girardeau, and at Dierberg's Market in Chesterfield, Mo., from 1967-90. She was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Chesterfield.
She was a graduate of Central High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Mike Obermann of Creve Coeur, Mo., Gary Obermann of St. Charles, Mo., Mark Obermann of Farmington, Mo., Bruce Obermann of Caruthersville, Mo.; a daughter, Beverly Sontgerath of Pacific, Mo.; two sisters, Tommie Hall of Athens, Ga., Joyce Dorrell of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
