Betty Ann Obermann, 82, of Jackson died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Monticello House. She was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, to Arthur C. and Bertha Vasterling Fuhrmann. Betty Ann Obermann, 82, of Jackson died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Monticello House.

She was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, to Arthur C. and Bertha Vasterling Fuhrmann. Betty was married to Arthur Lee Obermann on Jan. 10, 1948.

Betty graduated from Central High School in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. Betty worked at the Jackson Hosiery Mill and later was office manager with Obermann and Sons Plumbing and Heating in Jackson.

Survivors include her husband of Jackson; a daughter, Doris "Sister Dory" Obermann of O'Fallon, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Janice Obermann of Jackson; a brother, Dr. Earl Fuhrmann of Martinsville, Ind.; a sister, Ella Mae Hoeller of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Nicole Singh of Jackson and Ronald (Karen) Obermann of Cape Girardeau; a great-grandchild, Isabelle Singh; two sisters-in-law, Frances Fuhrmann of Cape Girardeau and Ruth Fuhrmann of Indianapolis, Ind.

She was preceded by a son, Ronald; two brothers, Lloyd and Ralph; and a sister, Dorothy.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran School or to Preferred Hospice.
