Betty Lou Smith Nanna of Cape Girardeau passed away peacefully at the age of 88 Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at Ratliff Nursing Center.
Betty was a strong Christian woman who was very devoted to God and her family. She attended Lynwood Baptist Church.
She was the beloved wife of the late Bill Nanna; amazing mother of Deanne (Steve) Bouchard, Nancy (Gary) Robey and Connie (Tony) Koosak; and loving grandmother of Lara Kime, Stacy Robey, Tara Surber and Blake Narsh. Betty also has three great-grandchildren, Carter Hines, Everly Balsman and Ty Surber.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Eva Utley Allen, and she was preceded in death by brothers, James and Richard Smith. A brother, Danny Smith, of Virginia survives.
The family extends a special thank you to the Ratliff Nursing Center for the wonderful care provided to its dear mother.
Due to the COVID-19 virus, the family has decided not to have a funeral at this time.
A private burial will be Thursday at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. A memorial service will be at a later date for family only.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
