ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Betty L. Lingle of Anna will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Scott Harner will officiate. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Lingle, 79, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, from injuries received in an automobile accident earlier that day on Highway 3.
She was born Dec. 29, 1919, in McClure, daughter of Levi and Clara Taylor Lightner. She and Collin Lingle were married March 22, 1940. He died Jan. 10, 1992.
Lingle had been a special education teacher at Lincoln School. She was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church, and DAR chapter. She also had been involved at Sunshine Inn.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Taylor of Anna; a sister, Kathryn Bell of Belleville; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a grandson.
