Betty Francis Keesee, 80, of Scott City died Friday, July 10, 2015, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri. She was born Sept. 15, 1934, in Oran, Missouri, to William A. and Hazel Marie Smith Menz. She and Glenn Bennett Keesee were married Nov. 21, 1978, in Scott City. He preceded her in death May 16, 1999...

Betty Francis Keesee, 80, of Scott City died Friday, July 10, 2015, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

She was born Sept. 15, 1934, in Oran, Missouri, to William A. and Hazel Marie Smith Menz. She and Glenn Bennett Keesee were married Nov. 21, 1978, in Scott City. He preceded her in death May 16, 1999.

Betty was a cook 27 1/2 years at Kelly schools.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney (Bridget) Benson and Stacy Benson of Scott City; two daughters, Connie (Eddie) Workman of Scott City and Debbie (Norm) Swafford of Bernie, Missouri; five brothers, Joseph Menz of San Antonio, Ray Frank Menz of Cape Girardeau, Raymond Menz of Jonesboro, Illinois, Fred Menz of Cape Girardeau and the Rev. Anthony Menz of Gulfport, Mississippi; three sisters, Bonnie Jansen of Jackson, Kathy Culley of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Mary Ann Parker of Cape Girardeau; three grandsons, Michael and Eric Workman and Dustin Benson; a granddaughter, Carrie Haynes; a stepgrandson Craig Workman; a stepgranddaughter, Noelle Buttry; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with Tim Aden officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
