Betty Joann Clough, 86, of Jackson, died June 6, 2014, of pancreatic cancer at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on May 19, 1928, in Flint Township, Illinois, a daughter of the late Milton Garland and Lucille Gertrude Roberts Blevins.

She was married to Harry Andrew Clough on June 29, 1947, who preceded her in death.

She was a 1947 graduate of Griggsville High School in Illinois.

She spent her early adult life working at the Brown Shoe Factory before later becoming a senior clerk at the Pike County Clerk office in Pittsfield, Illinois.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, her mother and father, her stepfather, Harold Doyle; her sister, Ruby Marie Williams; her brother-in-law, Alfred Clough; her only daughter, Sherry Lynn Biddle; her aunt, Ruby M. Metz and her grandson, Brian Eugene Biddle.

She is survived by her brother, Robert W. Blevins of Quincy, Illinois; her grandson, Jason Scott Biddle (Lavonna) of Jackson; her great-grandson, Ryaan William Biddle; her four nieces, Marla Kay Clark of Cape Girardeau, Peggy Ann Wawrzynice of Conroe, Texas, Marry Katherine Voloto of Spring, Texas, and Patti Marie Glassburner of Davis, California; her great-nieces Kathryn Alexandra Clark of Los Angeles, Ann (Chad) Clark Potenzone of San Diego, Kelsey Wawrzynice of Columbia, Missouri, and Lucille Louise Voloto of Spring, Texas; her great-nephews Joseph Antonio Torri of Roseville, California, Matthew William Torri of Tampa, Florida, Ryne Pasquale Torri of Seattle and Nolan Ryan Torri of Elk Grove, California; and her nephew-in-law John Clough of Griggsville, Illinois.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at the Ellington Memorial Presbyterian Church in Quincy, Illinois. Gathering for friends and family will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the graveside with the funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. Memorials can be made to the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
