Betty J. Masterson, 68, died Wednesday, June 5, 1996, at the Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.
She was born June 14, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Thomas Edman and Dona Elizabeth Evans Wood. She married Carl Masterson in 1967 in Cape Girardeau.
Masterson was a Methodist and had worked as a machine operator at the Elly Walker shoe factory.
Survivors include her husband; one brother, Paul Wood of Scott City; and five sisters, Norma Wood and Reva McClain of Cape Girardeau, Doris Arnzen and Shirley Emmons of Paducah, Ky., and Patsy Dietz of DeSoto, Ill.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel, 829 N. West End Boulevard, in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
