TAMMS, Ill. -- Betty Hutchison, 81, of East Peoria, Ill., formerly of Tamms, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at Riverview Nursing Home in East Peoria.
She was born Sept. 13, 1930, in Elco, Ill., daughter of Loyie and Flossie Lessar West. She and David Hutchison were married Oct. 28, 1950, at the home of a sister, Reba and Jesse White. David preceded her in death Aug. 12, 2011.
Betty was a member of Richland Baptist Church in East Peoria and Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Tamms. Her proudest accomplishment in life was her family, and she was a devoted loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah (Charles) Galbreath of East Peoria, Terri Hutchison of Morton, Ill.; two sons, David "Mike" (Suzan) Hutchison of Marion, Ind., Rick (Kathy) Hutchison of East Peoria; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Brenda) West of West Frankfort, Ill.; other relatives and friends.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Reba White, and two brothers, Charles and Dean West.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with the Rev. Clint Nale officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
